Nothing compares to the colors, processions, ceremonial foods, and passion of a Sicilian Easter. For the 2013 season, we'll focus on the northwest part of the island; we start in Palermo, visiting important religious sites, then head to Erice for symbolic almond paste treats and Trapani on Good Friday for an amazing procession. Easter Sunday we'll witness the strange Dance of the Devils symbolizing good conquering evil, and on Easter Monday watch the Benedictine monks in Prizzi release their wintering birds. You won't be surprised to know that all along the way we'll delight in typical Sicilian foods. Join us as we welcome spring with the backdrop of flowering almond trees and delicate peas and wild asparagus, fresh seafood, cheeses, olive oil, pastries, pasta, citrus, and more!
